Indian citizens must now obtain eVisas for UK Travel following a shift to a fully digital system

  • by
The United Kingdom has introduced a fully digital immigration system, making eVisas mandatory for Indian travellers. Physical visa stickers in passports will no longer be issued. From February 2026, Indian nationals must apply online and receive digital visa approval before travel. Airlines will verify the eVisa status electronically prior to boarding. The move aims to modernize the UK’s immigration process, improve security, reduce paperwork, and streamline travel procedures.
