Tamil Nadu’s government has identified 40 new locations across the state to be developed as tourist destinations — part of a strategic initiative to expand tourism beyond traditional hotspots and tap into ecotourism, coastal attractions and unexplored sites. The announcement was made by the state’s Industries Minister TRB Rajaa along with Tourism Minister R. Rajendran.
